Just left your Pasadena location. The woman taking my order was so helpful since it was my first time and she even let me try a bit of the "tuna" since she said it was her favorite. I think it's my favorite now too! I am vegan and have tried the few vegan restaurants near me (Orange County) and am never that impressed. This was soooo delicious! Please come down to OC! Might I be so selfish as to suggest Newport Beach/Irvine? I wish you had some nutritional information available though. Thanks again for an amazing lunch! –Lana

I'm looking forward to trying your restaurant, but I was surprised to see "melted mozzarella" among the ingredients on your pizza, since you describe the food as vegan. Is this an animal-derived cheese, or from another source such as soy etc? –Frank
we appreciate your concern and thank-u for you asking. RFD is a 100% plant based restaurant. it is implied by the tag line of our restaurant and on our menus that every dish is 100% plant based. Though we make our own cashew cheese, we also incorporate a few store bought vegan cheeses for variety of flavor and texture. On our pizza we combine our cheese with the Follow Your Heart Mozzarella. –Ann
Can you please change your specials more often?! I eat at RFD a few times a week and I used to look forward to the specials each month being different. The current ones have been the same since you changed the menu! Also I miss the old menu it was much better. I loved the Alfredo with broccoli. Please bring it back! I want the recipe!(i own the cookbooks and its not found in either. sigh.) I love my RFD and need my fix often just bums me out how slow the options for specials change. Thanks –S
First I just wanted to say thanks, we've enjoyed your food for years and I'm sure we will keep enjoying for many more.
Recently, you changed the burger and personally I'm not a fan. The old one both tasted better to me and was much more of a distinct, signature item... the new one is OK, tastes pretty much like the veggie burgers at any number of any other restaurants that wanted to throw some veggie options on the menu... the old one felt to me like something you could only get from a place that specialized in vegan cuisine. Maybe that's why you changed if it wasn't what other customers were expecting when they ordered.
Anyhow, I still love your food and don't want to be a hater, just wanted to share the feedback and request that you consider to also offer the original RFD style burger in addition to the new one... let me know if you do so I can order again... or else that craving I get will never be filled again : (
Coming from a meat eater, non-vegetarian, non-vegan (no offense intended) RFD is phenomenal! I LOVE this place. I'm in Atwater Village and will drive to Pasadena RFD for my meal...no hesitation. I first tried RFD in Santa Monica and was hooked...desserts are delicious too! Thank you!! –Aura
