Spring Around the Corner – Time for a Real Cleanse with RFD
Congratulations to those who participated in Real Food Daily’s 14-Day Vegan Pledge that wrapped up on Tuesday. I’ve heard great success stories from a bunch of dedicated folks. Take our Instagram contest winner, Kelsey, for example, who decided to continue to alter her diet choices after the 14-Day Vegan Pledge and start living a healthy sustainable life. It’s not something impalpable. It can be done and has been done!
Come this spring, as you clean out your over stuffed closets and start thinking about warm weather activities, join us for our spring cleanse of your body and mind too! You’ll be in great company, as this time many of the RFD staff want to join in. Our spring cleanse will coincide with the launch of our seasonal spring menu and wait till you taste some of our new dishes! With our spring cleanse, we will share daily tips on what to eat at RFD, what to eat at home or how to better choose foods when out in the world. We will also give more detailed instruction to those of you new to eating meatless meals. This step-by-step plan will help you stay on track and experience the benefits of eating exclusively plant-based.
For instance, did you know that every time you eat a plant-based meal, you’ll reduce your carbon footprint by the equivalent of 2.5 pounds of carbon dioxide emissions over an average animal-based lunch? Yeah, eating a plant-based diet goes further than any other single effort—including driving a hybrid car—to lower one’s carbon footprint and help preserve the environment.
