Sneak Peek into Vegan Family Meals
Last week, I had the opportunity to have FitSugar in my home kitchen preparing a recipe from my new cookbook, Vegan Family Meals, real food for everyone. This is a sneak peek of the first of many recipes that I’ll be sharing between now and June 14 when my book is published. We made a Cold Buckwheat Salad with a lovely oil-free sesame seed dressing. We had lots of fun and Zelana, the host of FitSugar is not only beautiful, she also knows her way around a kitchen!
Here’s a group photo of the gang enjoying this fabulous dish along with a couple of my favorite pics!
Buckwheat Salad with Oil-Free Sesame Sauce
Buckwheat groats are the hulled, crushed kernels of buckwheat seeds; they have a slight green hue to them, and a fresh, grassy flavor. Once buckwheat groats are roasted, we call them kasha, which has a deeper, nuttier flavor. The sesame sauce is quick to make, and it brings some of my favorite flavors together. Spoon a little sauce over each serving, or go ahead and dress the whole dish with it……Click here to get this recipe!
