Cooking for the Kids!
Every year, parents in my community get together and organize party nights to raise money for the schools their children attend. The premise is that one or two parents share a skill or talent for other parents to enjoy. For years, my friend Susie hounded me to share my food philosophy, recipes, and cooking techniques with the parents at her boy’s school. Last winter, I finally relented and allowed Susie and several other Brentwood moms to set up a late morning cooking class in a spectacular sunny kitchen. I enjoyed it so much that last week I went back again and hosted yet another class and had a great time. Once I got a taste of how much fun these events are, I organized an auction cooking party for my children’s school. Here is a collection of photos from both and one of the recipes I prepared at both events, which was the crowd favorite.
