Jacobs farm is run by my brother- and sister-in-law, and they are two of the founders of organic farming in California. They also run a farming collective called del Cabo. I serve Jacobs Farm’s delicious herbs and tomatoes at RFD, so I thought you’d like to know a bit about how they got started. Quite a few decades of history have gone into those greens! 

Jacobs Farm / del Cabo has a mission to practice farming in a way that it can be carried on for generations. The Jacobs Farm part of the organization started as a small family farm founded by my brother-in-law Larry and his wife Sandra. They’ve also created del Cabo, a cooperative dedicated to improving the lives of growers and their families by providing economic opportunities for them and offering a chemical-free work environment. Four hundred families in all are participating in del Cabo.
